Course Description:

Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course. Brass Anchor Scuba Center offers this course every month, January through November. There is an optional E-Learning option with PADI. Please continue reading below for complete details.
Prerequisites:
Must be at least 10 years of age to take this course.
Requirements:
- The following is due 24 hours in advance of the first class:
- Completed student registration and agreement forms.
- Medical form signed by a doctor (if needed).
- Fitting for gear at Brass Anchor Scuba Center.
- Read chapters 1 and 2 of course book prior to the first day of class.
- Must pass a swim test on the first day of class.

- Four Day Course:
- Academic (classroom or E-Learning)
- Pool Training
- Open Water Training and Check-Out Dives
Cost:
The cost of this course is based on two factors:
- Full BASC Certification vs. Referral
- Full BASC Certification: With this option, you will be fully trained and certified by Brass Anchor Scuba Center.
- Referral: With this option, you have chosen to do all training with Brass Anchor Scuba Center, except for the Open Water Check-Out Dives. You have chosen to do the Check-Out Dives at another PADI certified scuba center.
- Classroom Training vs. E-Learning
- Classroom: With this option, you will be present for classroom training at Brass Anchor Scuba Center
- E-Learning: With this option, you take the academic portion of this course with PADI’s E-Learning program. This program is sold separately from PADI.

- Complete Certification – Classroom: $700.00
- Complete Certification – E-Learning: $657.00

*PADI’s E-Learning Course is purchased separately. At present (April, 2019) the cost of PADI’s E-Learning Open Water Course is $195.00.
